Dads on Duty

The Dads on Duty program has been part of the Lookout Mountain Elementary School Community of Caring for more than 10 years. We host four programs each school year. Please review each program below, update your calendar for events you will attend and find the program(s) where you may help.

Please join us as a participant and / or volunteer. Email: to learn more.

Father Daughter Dance – Friday, February 23rd
Dads on Duty hosts the Father Daughter Dance. This is a special evening to dress up and share a fantastic evening with your daughter(s), niece(s) or grand-daughter(s). Volunteer Opportunities: Spend an hour or two helping set-up, helping clean-up, or volunteer a few hours helping host the event.

Volunteers Needed: The annual Father Daughter Dance is on Friday, February 23rd and we need help transforming the cafeteria and courtyard into a star-studded dance wonderland.  Please contact John Martin at or use the Dads on Duty Signup Genius link to join the crew.

Father Son Kickball Tournament - Date TBD
Dads on Duty hosts the Father Son Kickball Tournament in April. This is an afternoon where Dads, Uncles, and Grandpas compete against the kids while Moms, Grandmas and Aunts referee the rules in a kickball spectacular. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – Spend an hour or two helping set-up, an hour helping clean-up, or a few hours helping host the event.

Dads on Duty Committee – Monthly meetings 1-2 hours each
Join the Dads on Duty Committee. We meet about once a month to plan each program and form the core volunteer group for each event.
